Ho Ho Ho! Dec Circle at Library (downtown).

Good news (yay!) we get to strum and sing some songs on Saturday, Dec 13th at 2 pm.

We are nomads once again. This Christmas / Holiday December Jam will be at the Regina Central library,  2311-12th Ave, Regina. We’re in Room CE2, which is on the second floor. We will also have that space for January 9th.

There’s free 2hr parking downtown on Saturdays.

See our About page for what to bring and links to our music library. We have many Christmas Tunes. We’ll have a comfy space to churn out a few songs and carols through the afternoon.

You can bring along friends and relations who are curious or are Uke players. We welcome new members!

If we don’t see you at the Jam, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you the warmest, happiest and merriest of Christmas and holiday seasons. And a healthy and prosperous New Year ahead in 2026.

Thank-you for being part of the group, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Hohoho,

For July & August, we don’t have the school and will meet for an outdoor circle, unless anyone wants to host us. We’ll continue to meet on the 2nd Saturday at 2pm for the summer months. Our usual outdoor spot is in Wascana Park; more on that closer to the dates.

April 12th Uke Circle & Special Hawaiian Song

Please join us to sing and strum on Saturday, April 12 at 2pm for the ukulele circle in Regina. All are welcome. Please invite friends.

The About page has details such as location, songbook, what to bring. Please bring indoor shoes / slippers and a warm sweater as our space can be a little cool.

Our fearless & fun Social Media manager, Rolf, has shared a song right from Hawaii. “For this month I brought us a wonderful Hawaiian song to play “E Huli Makou”. This song is popular for teaching first hula movements to children (and tourists), and the video is a nice version of the song and a class that has the moves right.“

If you wish to prepare ahead of time, here’s where to find tab & video:
– Our QCU Facebook Page has the pdf and link to video
– Song & Hula dance video – YouTube (no pressure to dance at our circle – LOL!!)
– You can download the song HERE. Just click “Download” on the right; no need to create an account. Then either save it to your device or print it off.

Thanks Rolf!!

Looking forward to singing and playing with ya’ll.

Holiday / Christmas Season Songbook for Dec 07 Circle

Let’s sing some holiday songs and Christmas carols at our Dec 07 circle! (Please note this is the 1st Sat in Dec, not our usual 2nd Saturday.)

Our 2024 Holiday / Christmas Season Songbook (pdf) is mostly thanks to the BUGs group in Ottawa. We added a few songs our group has enjoyed in the past, as an addendum.

What’s fancy? You can click on a song title in the table of contents and it will take you right to that song in the book. On most of the song pages, you can click “back to song list” to get back to the ToC. No more searching and scrolling!

What’s not fancy? The addendum (which is still kinda fancy), was copied from my uke binder and has my scribbles. Hopefully you’ll find them helpful. 🙂 The extra songs were added in blue to the main table of contents – very unfancy but it keeps the songs in alphabetical order.

Please feel free to print your own copy of this 106 pg songbook or download it to your device. You don’t need a DropBox account – just look for the “download only” option.

We have a new home!!

As you know, the past few years have been challenging for many music circles as they rebuild, including the Queen City Ukes. Our group has been bumping around a little, in need of a new home since the fine folks at Sawchyn Guitars, our former home sweet home, retired.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the Uplands Community Association in Regina for offering us a space where we can meet to play and sing monthly! Please see our About Page for location details, our songbook and a few things to know.

Everyone of all ages and musical abilities is welcome to join us. It’s a safe and inclusive place whether you’re a complete beginner, someone comfortable with 5 chords, or an expert player.

We meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month, 2 – 4 pm.
