Calling all gnarly dudes and mall chicks. It’s time to break out your leg warmers, pastel suits, acid wash jeans and shoulder pads. Well, maybe not all at once.
I’ve prepared a few new songs and we’ll dip into our catalogue for some other ’80s hits.
The new stuff:
- Down Under (1981), Men at Work — video
- Karma Chameleon (1983), Culture Club — video
- Maybe Tomorrow (Theme from The Littlest Hobo) (1979), Terry Bush — video
- Crazy Little Thing Called Love (1980), Queen — video
- Stray Cat Strut (1981), Stray Cats — video
OK, technically Maybe Tomorrow was written at the end of 1979, but show didn’t become a hit until the ’80s.
And from our song book:
- Time After Time (1983), Cindy Lauper — video
- Faith (1987), George Michael — video
- We’re Not Gonna Take It (1984), Twisted Sister — video

See you all in May. It will be totally rad!
Lots of fun, as usual! I have missed since November as we winter down south – so glad to be back playing and learning again. While in Arizona this winter I got to see the Wellington New Zealand Ukelele Orchestra – they do “It’s A Heartache” by Bonnie Raitt and I noticed it is in our songbook – can I request it please for an upcoming circle?
Thanks
Carmen
