October’s circle is devoted to “non-lexical vocables” or those nonsense words that sneak into some songs.
We already have a few songs in our library, like “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” and “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah“, but send me your favourite musical gobbledegook.
And in case you’re interested in nonsense lyrics, my favourite language podcast, The Allusionist, has an episode all about this.

It’s September. Kids are heading back to school, summer vacations are over, and we’re going back to the shop.
For this month’s theme, send me you favourite “work songs”. For example: “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”, “Making It Work” and “Take This Job and Shove It”.

There won’t be any new songs. We’ve got more than 200 songs in our collection, so let’s take turns picking our favourites.
